The Perfect Holiday Outfit

I am all about crazy Christmas sweaters and tartan for holiday parties and Christmas dinner, but I also love the less obvious holiday look. This outfit is fun and comfortable ( I mean who doesn't need a little stretch in their pants for Christmas dinner...).

Tonight I decided to tune into the first episode of this seasons Project Runway AllStars; after a five year hiatus from the original Project Runway series, I finally caved and began watching the show again. The designers this season were incredibly talented, thus I felt inclined to see that which the AllStar cast had to offer. Might I say, I'm not a huge fan of the show production, however I think that there are several thoughtful designers back on the show. It pleases me to know that one of them will be able to enjoy such fabulous prizes, one of which is a chance to visit TOKYO Fashion Week.

The rise of the East, with regard to fashion ingenuity, has become increasingly obvious over the last few years(i.e. the use of Asian women on the runway). As a girl who has long admired drop crotch pants, futuristic/experimental patterns and cuts, punk and androgyny, the Asian market, particularly that featured at Seoul Fashion Week(some of which is shown below) is perhaps the best scene to look to for inspiration (not that it is the only scene, or that such styles are the only styles there...)

Ok Ok, so I know that Halloween has past. However, here in Jersey trick-or-treating is scheduled for Monday due to Hurricane Sandy, so I figured it would be alright to sneak a little Halloweenish post in.
